PCB printing or electrochemical printing is a very cost-effective technique used in the design and production of circuit boards. It involves spraying a solid solution on the circuit boards which then attracts the traces and pluses them to create the final circuit board. These traces are known as conductors and are essential for the electronic components to work properly and clearly.


The major benefit of using this method of PCB prototyping is that you can create the circuit boards of your choice without having to use your entire staff. You save money on materials and can increase productivity by having your team to focus on other projects such as customer service, sales and marketing etc. You have the ability to get the most accurate product in less time and that too without wasting any time in the process. This also allows you to run tests and modifications more efficiently than usual.


There are three ways to create PCB's using this method. Firstly you can opt for the traditional two sided silkscreen method, where you need to manually screen in one side and wet in the other. Secondly you can use the full colour method where the silkscreen is peeled away from the printed circuit board after it has been created. Lastly you can use the direct thermal method in which hot air is sprayed on the silk screen to melt it and peel it away to create the final PCB.
